Newborn sessions get me so excited! I spend so much time thinking about set ups, gathering all of the cute props, and setting up the studio so it is perfect when baby arrives. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but there is something so fun about being creative and planning a session for a new little baby. Devrey’s due date was on Christmas so we knew that we wanted to incorporate a couple Christmas set ups. I like to base most my set ups off the colors of baby’s room so that the pictures will fit in when they are hung. Devrey’s nursery is teal, yellow, and light pink. I am kind of obsessed with those colors so I was stoked when her mom told me the colors. Her dad is from Hawaii and they brought a beautiful Hawaiian lei to the session. I love to incorporate things that are special to the family into my newborn sessions. She fit perfectly into the lei and it was so fun to capture something that will mean so much to her in the future. I loved getting to know Devrey’s parents. They were so great to hang out with during the session. They met while serving missions in the Phillipines and even a whole country couldn’t separate them when they got back. They have such a cute love story and are amazing parents already! Miss Devrey is one lucky girl to have such great people to look up to!
