Richfield UT Newborn Photography

Part 2 of the workshop is here! Our second set of babies were Ezra and Jude. Everyone had the song, “Hey Jude” stuck in their heads after hearing his name! His mom even brought some cute headphones and sunglasses to go along with the song theme. These babies were a little bit harder to pose than the first set which was so great to see! Each baby is different and newborn photography is all about following what the baby wants. If I have a pose planned, but baby isn’t into it then I will move on to a different pose. Baby is in charge the whole session! That’s why sessions can sometimes be challenging and last up to four hours. Yes you read that right. Four, 4, hours. I always suggest to not plan anything else on the day of your newborn session. You just never really know what is going to happen during a session. Some babies sleep through the whole thing and some babies go in and out of sleep and we take the time to soothe them. Newborn photography is not something to speed through, to take the pacifier out and hurry and get the shot. Beautiful shots come when baby is comfortable and happy and relaxed in a pose and that takes time. It is all worth it in the end though to see the beautiful images and remember all of their tiny newborn details forever <3 See part one of the workshop here.
